I’m Niklas Tiede, a software engineer with five years of experience building and operating backend and web applications.

I care about the engineering decisions that make software reliable over time: clear system boundaries, maintainable code, reproducible delivery, observable behavior, and explicit trade-offs. My work spans Java and Spring Boot, Python, search systems, databases, CI/CD, containers, and self-hosted infrastructure.

The name comes from a long-standing interest in organic chemistry. Both programming and laboratory work reward careful experiments, evidence, and curiosity.
